Just in time for this spring's events lineup, Uber has launched its new shuttle service in Chicago from the United Center.

Folks leaving the arena—the first-ever NBA and NHL venue associated with Uber Shuttle—will be able to embark on four different routes: Towards the Magnificent Mile, Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Old Town. According to an official press release, additional destinations will launch as part of the service throughout 2025.

The best part? It's only $5 per seat. In total, users will have the ability to book up to four seats per shuttle at once.

You can reserve a spot in advance at a locked-in price, so you won't have to scramble for a ride when your concert or sports game ends.

Life suddenly just got so much easier and cheaper.

Here is a step-by-step guide to booking a ride on the new Uber Shuttle service in Chicago:

1. Open your Uber app and tap "shuttle" from the home screen, or input your desired pickup and drop-off locations in the app’s "where to?" field.

2. Once you’ve added your pickup and drop off locations, select your preferred route and departure, along with the number of seats (up to 4) you’d like to book. You can book in advance or on demand after the event (we're partial to the former option).

3. Select "confirm shuttle" and you’ll receive a notification with your vehicle and driver information around 25 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

4. Proceed to the dedicated Uber Shuttle check-in area in the United Center’s climate-controlled Uber Zone and wait for Shuttle ground staff to escort you to the Shuttle boarding area.

5. To board, show the driver or ground staff your QR code(s) and you’re on your way!
