The plan to reopen Illinois makes it pretty clear that it's going to be a long time before we're able to spend a sweaty night dancing in the club on a packed dance floor. That's why Wicker Park nightclub Debonair Social Club is rebranding as Disco Bodega, selling a variety of items that allow you to bring the party home with you (just don't invite any friends over, your guest list should be limited to whoever you live with).
Beginning on May 8, Debonair will host a "boozy farmers market" soundtracked by a live DJ that stocks cocktail kits (think mimosas and vodka-Red Bulls), bottles of liquor, beer, vegan dishes from No Bones Beach Club and packages curated by Dorian's that include cheese, charcuterie, wine and a used record. You'll also find Finom cold brew coffee, fresh flowers, creations by local artists and HydroCanna CBD products.
Open from 5 to 9pm on Fridays and 2 to 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays, guests can stop in and browse the Disco Bodega, though you'll need to wear a face covering, practice social distancing and observe the limited capacity. Alternatively, you can order via Tock or call the Disco Bodega hotline (773-227-7990) before showing up to retrieve your supplies from the curb. For an additional fee, you can place and order via Tock and have an El Camino ferry your items to your doorstep.
According to a release, Disco Bodega will be operating out of the Debonair Social Club through the duration of the "stay-at-home" order, catering to anyone who's missing the dance-friendly beats and bottle service.
