It's a year away, but Chicagoans will soon be able to revel in a unique luxury bathhouse and spa experience that was first born in New York City.

Aptly dubbed Bathhouse, the 40,000-square-foot wellness oasis will open at 1010 W. Madison Street in the West Loop next year, featuring cold tubs, co-ed saunas, hot pools, steam rooms, massages and much more.

According to The Architect's Newspaper, the three-story Chicago Bathhouse, the company's first outpost outside of NYC, will feature "three indoor and two outdoor pools with a mix of hot, cold and salt experiences, along with four different saunas and bookable treatment rooms, providing a multisensory journey."

The building itself will be a feat of architectural marvel itself, designed by Gensler, one of the most renowned architecture firms in the world. Expect the structure to be wrapped with brick and glass, topped with a rooftop amenity space.

Last week, developers attended a community meeting in which they announced that construction on the project will officially kick off in March.

According to Block Club Chicago, the project "does not need further City Council approval and has already received a construction permit that includes permission for pile driving."

At the moment, the new destination is expected to debut in the spring of 2026. You'll find us at the similar AIRE Ancient Baths, one in the best spas in Chicago, until then.
