Chicago: Keep your eyes peeled for the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, which will be making its rounds in the city from Monday, January 16 through Monday, January 25. The 27-foot-long hot dog-shaped vehicle will be taking appearance requests and searching for its next crew of drivers to road trip around the country in 2021.
What's it take to be a Hotdogger (a.k.a. Wienermobile spokesperson)? The formal job description requires that applicants have a bachelor's degree and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. They should also have top-notch communications skills, be outgoing and friendly and possess a good driving record (that last one seems like a given). Perhaps most importantly, they need to be willing to spend most of the year on the road inside a massive hot dog.
The year-long paid assignment comes with quite a few duties, including coordinating the vehicle's travel logistics, appearing on TV and radio segments and representing the Oscar Mayer brand at more than 200 events during the tour. If this sounds like a dream job, applications are open now through Sunday, January 31. Let's be frank: It's not the wurst way to spend the year.
