1. Outdoor movie season at Wrigley Field kicks off this evening, and top of the batting order for Music Box Theatre Movies at Gallagher Way is a great baseball movie that was filmed in part at Wrigley, 1992’s A League of Their Own. Gates open at 6pm and the screening starts at 7:30; admission is free.

2. First Floor Theater’s new drama Refrigerator opens tonight at the Den Theatre. Playwright Lucas Baisch’s scenario takes place in a near future where 82 percent of the world’s population have uploaded their consciousnesses to IceBox, a digital deep-freeze; the play follows a few of the administrative workers left behind to tend to the transitions. Tonight’s performance is at 7:30pm, and tickets are $10–$20.

3. See London music producer Ryan Lee West, who performs under the name Rival Consoles, tonight at the Empty Bottle. West’s new album, Persona, oscillates between dance-friendly electronics and ominous ambient compositions; his live show is accompanied by trippy projected visuals. Doors open at 8:30pm for tonight’s show; tickets are $15.
