1. A little rock band from Dublin plays the United Center tonight and tomorrow. Of course, U2 are seasoned arena veterans these days; even if you haven’t given many spins to the band’s recent output, these shows are sure to be satisfying spectacles with hit-laden setlists. Tickets are still available for both 8pm shows, starting at $41.

2. You have less than two weeks left to see The Office’s Rainn Wilson in The Doppelganger (an international farce) at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Wilson plays two roles in the smartly silly comedy that uses the well-worn, door-slamming tropes of stage farce to spoof cynicism and self-interest in global politics; think of it like the community-theater staple The Foreigner, but woke. Tonight’s performance is at 7:30pm, and tickets start at $20.

3. Scandinavia buffs can get an art fix at Vertical Gallery’s exhibit “20 x 20 x 20,” which features 20-inch square canvases by 20 painters and photographers from Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Curated by Oslo’s Galleri Ramfjord, the exhibition is open through Saturday; hours today are 11am to 6pm, and admission is free.
