1. Composer John Williams returns to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra tonight through Sunday to conduct a program of selections from his iconic film scores, including E.T.Jaws and the Star Wars movies. Tonight’s performance begins at 8pm, and tickets start at $60.

2. Eat out for a good cause as Dining Out for Life returns to the city. Dine out at one of more than 55 restaurants and bars today, and a portion of your meal’s cost will go to support Test Positive Aware Network’s services for those living with or vulnerable to HIV and AIDS.

3. Sample beers from two dozen local breweries at Chicago on Tap, a one-night beer fest benefiting Meals on Wheels Chicago. The event runs from 6 to 10pm at Thalia Hall, and the $75 ticket includes unlimited beer and food tastings.
