Last month, we reported on the imminent opening of the very first BAPE store in Chicago and, today, we are delighted to announce that the shop has officially debuted at 113 E Oak Street.

Welcoming shoppers from Mondays to Saturdays between 10am and 7pm and on Sundays between noon and 5pm, the destination looks like a mecca of all things Japanese streetwear, with products by renowned figures like contemporary Indonesian artist Arkiv Vilmansa, graffiti guru Josh "Stash" Franklin and more.

In addition to serving as the brand's Chicago flagship, the store will partner with local creatives to celebrate their contributions to the community and their overall talents.

Chicago native Don C is the current star of the Chicago camo capsule campaign. The line is only available on site and is entirely inspired by the city: It features signature items like tees, hoodies and accessories in the blue and red colors of the Chicago flag and boasts the BAPE Theater Sign graphic, itself an ode to the city's theater signage.

"As a city renowned for its impact on culture, creativity, and fashion, Chicago is the perfect destination for the newest location in the BAPE universe," reads an official press release about the news. "This location will be a gallery for expression, showcased through the product, the architecture, the artwork, and most importantly, the community that will bring our space to life."

The 5,000-square-foot destination houses two separate levels, clearly visible from the outside of the shop. The exterior features the signature BAPE logo above a glossy facade.
