This morning, the complete Pitchfork Music Festival lineup was revealed without a drop of paint being spilled—a welcome departure from the laborious mural-painting sessions that were used to gradually unveil the artists playing the annual event in 2017 and 2018. After a quick update to the fest's website (the contents of which were inadvertently leaked throughout the internet last night), we now know exactly who will take the stage in Union Park from July 19 through 21.

The biggest surprise of this year's lineup is Pitchfork's choice of headliners, which include pop-rock trio HAIM, Motown legends the Isley Brothers and Swedish electro-pop star Robyn. While Robyn is right in line with festival's usual slate of venerated left-of-the-dial acts, the inclusion of HAIM (a band that has been a mainstay of the Lollapalooza lineup) and the Isley Brothers (a group that seems like a shoo-in for the Taste of Chicago concert series) suggests that the event's organizers are attempting to broaden its appeal.

Other notable inclusions on Pitchfork's 2019 lineup include local R&B singer Mavis Staples (who turns 80 years old this summer), recently reunited avant-garde pop outfit Stereolab, melancholy Scottish indie rockers Belle and Sebastian, resurgent rapper Pusha T, guitar shredder Kurt Vile and "Buffalo Stance" singer Neneh Cherry. The bill is also stacked with plenty of local acts, such as Whitney, Grapetooth, Valee, Ric Wilson, Tasha, Lala Lala, Dreezy and the Great Black Music Ensemble.

Tickets are currently available via the Pitchfork Music Festival website—three-day passes are $175, a one-day ticket is $75 and the luxurious Pitchfork PLUS tickets run $375 for the weekend.
