As the city gears up for this week's Lollapalooza 2024 festival, we'd like to remind you that, whether you will be attending the festivities at Grant Park or not, you will likely feel the effects of the music celebration in your day-to-day commute.
With that said, in addition to the official schedule, we've put together a handy little guide breaking down the various road closures you should keep in mind while traversing Chicago this weekend.
For what it's worth, officials are urging ticket holders to use public transportation to get to the festival on time and, perhaps, help ease some of the traffic that is sure to become a headache.
Both Metra and CTA are expecting higher-than-usual rider volume, so they have added service and capacity to existing routes.
