Time Out Market Chicago is home to a collection of the city’s best restaurants and chefs, with something new to always discover. If you haven’t visited in a while, there’s no better time than this weekend because you’ll be able to sample dishes from our three newest kitchens!
On Sunday, September 8, drop by the culinary and cultural hub in West Loop for Taste of the Market. Starting at noon, guests can enjoy complimentary bites—while supplies last—from Qing Xiang Yuan Mini, 2d Restaurant and Libanais.
A refresher for those who may be unfamiliar: QXY Dumplings is a beloved Chinatown favorite that specializes in a variety of handmade soup dumplings. Available steamed or pan fried, the dumplings are filled with broth and ingredient combinations like Kurobuta pork and cabbage; Halal lamb and coriander; and wagyu beef and black truffle.
2d Restaurant has brought its irresistible mochi doughnuts to the Market, too. These sweet treats are fluffier and chewier than their traditional counterparts, and come in flavors such as lychee glaze, ube and strawberry. 2d also serves Vietnamese coffee, milk teas and freshly-squeezed lemonades.
For a taste of Lebanon, head to Libanais, where you’ll find a selection of Middle Eastern classics, including falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, spinach pie, salads and wraps filled with beef and chicken shawarma shaved off a vertical spit. And for dessert, grab some baklava or coconut macaroons for an impeccable conclusion.
But that’s not the only thing happening at the Market on Sunday. We’re kicking off football season by showing the Bears game with sound inside on our big screen, and as well as out on the front patio. There will be drink specials, a live DJ, lawn games and a Caleb Williams jersey giveaway, which you can win by entering via Instagram. Plus, guests can receive a special gift, while supplies last, when they show the post to a Market bartender.
