If last week's arctic temperatures forced you to cancel your Chicago Restaurant Week reservation, it's your lucky day: The annual culinary event, which was supposed to end on Thursday, will now extend through Tuesday, February 12. That means you've got five extra days to cash in on dining deals for brunch, lunch and dinner.
It's worth noting that not all of this year's restaurants will participate in the extension, but according to a press release from Choose Chicago, more than 235 spots will continue to offer special prix-fixe menus. The Chicago Restaurant Week website specifically calls out these participants with a "Feb 12" sticker, which can be found alongside menu links. This is the second year Choose Chicago has tacked on a few days to the event.
As an added bonus, the extension coincides with the start of Chicago Theatre Week, which runs from February 7 to 17 and offers discounted tickets to productions at more than 100 participating theaters throughout the city.
