When analyzing our preferences for airports, we rarely think of how well-connected the hubs are.
And, yet, especially when trying to get to a city as quickly and efficiently as possible, selecting an airport that operates non-stop flights is key, which is why we're paying particular attention to a new study by aviation analytics platform Cirium that analyzed the most connected airports around the world based on the number of nonstop destinations that they serve.
We are delighted to report that our very own Chicago O'Hare International Airport is the highest-ranked U.S. hub on the list at No. 5, servicing 270 non-stop destinations. The ranking is topped by Istanbul Airport, followed by Frankfurt Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
Just to keep things in perspective, though, we'd be remiss not to remind you that O'Hare was also named the most stressful airport in all of the U.S. in recent times. As they say: You win some, you lose some.
