Ever wondered how cold Antarctica really is? What about Siberia? Tomorrow Chicagoans will find out when potentially record-breaking negative temperatures hit the area. It's going to be so cold tomorrow that Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker issued a disaster proclamation this morning, highlighting the "serious threat" that this extreme winter weather poses to residents throughout the state.
As a result of the sub-zero temperatures, many Chicago restaurants and businesses are closing their doors until the mercury rises on Thursday. Here's a running list of some places you won't be able to visit until it gets warmer (we'll be updating as more businesses announce closures) :

Adler Planetarium: Closed Wednesday and Thursday.
Brookfield Zoo: Closed Wednesday and Thursday.
Navy Pier: Closed Wednesday.
Chicago History Museum: Closed Wednesday.
Chicago Public Schools: No after-school activities today, no classes tomorrow. CPS will notify parents by noon on Wednesday about a potential Thursday closing.
Du Sable Museum of African American History: Closed Wednesday. Will stay closed Thursday if CPS cancels classes.
Field Museum: Closes at 2pm today. Closed Wednesday.
Lincoln Park Zoo: Closes at 3pm today. Closed Wednesday.
