Thousands gathered downtown over the weekend to celebrate one of Chicago's most beloved annual traditions—the dyeing of the Chicago River for St. Patrick's Day. Every year, Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130 dumps about 40 pounds of orange-red, vegetable-based powder into the water on the Saturday before or of St. Patrick's Day, turning it a bright shade of emerald green. If you missed the action, or if you just want to relive the good times, keep scrolling to check out Time Out Chicago's coverage of all the festivities.
