There is nothing quite as exciting as a marriage of gastronomic greats, especially when the union gives birth to an entirely new delicacy, which is why we are so excited about a new partnership between The Beer Temple, one of the best bars in Chicago, and Middle Brow Bungalow, one of the top pizza spots in town.

As reported by Block Club Chicago, in a few weeks, The Beer Temple will start serving Detroit-style pizza made by the Logan Square restaurant and brewery. The pies, different from what is currently available at Middle Brow Bungalow, will be made in house under the tutelage of the pizzeria.

According to the outlet, the new pizza menu will include "a few red-sauce pizza options such as a cheese, pepper and sausage and a veggie pie and at least one non-red sauce option." Rotating specials, salads and a variety of sides will also be on the menu.

In a city obsessed with pizza, the news is a pretty big deal, especially given the differences between Detroit-style and Chicago-style pies (the former usually boasts a thicker crust).

Fans of both local businesses quickly took to social media to express their excitement about the collaboration.

"What fun news!," someone wrote under The Beer Temple's Instagram announcement.

"Dream team!!," another user commented.

Although specific details are still being worked out, it sounds as if delivery options will be available as well—just in case the craving suddenly hits.
