As we all hunker down in our apartments and learn how to effectively social distance ourselves (lots of delivery and a full bar cart seem to be the first steps), the city's busiest places have slowly emptied out. Major Chicago attractions like Millennium Park, the Chicago Riverwalk and the 606 are all but desolate these days. Even CTA stations, which are typically buzzing with commuters, have become ghost towns.
It's not all doom and gloom: These stark city shots prove that Chicago is taking its responsibility seriously and staying at home. There's beauty to be found in these eerie images of Chicago—take a look.
