After experimenting with punk rock with his 93PUNX project (which shares a name with his personal fashion line), Vic Mensa has returned to straight-forward hip-hop with his surprise project, V TAPE. Recorded in Chicago with the help of locals like Peter Cottontale, BJ the Chicago Kid and Eryn Allen Kane, the release finds Mensa addressing the complaints of fans who claimed he "disappeared." If you need even more proof that Vic is back, you can see him (from the comfort of your car) during a one-off show at Lakeshore Drive-In. R&B singer-songwriter Wyatt Waddell opens the show.
