Singer-songwriter Vivian McConnell has performed with Chicago acts like Ohmme and Lala Lala, but ;her solo output as V.V. Lightbody confidently follows its own path. Released in the midst of the pandemic, her sophomore album, Make A Shrine or Burn It, contains a collection spacious songs built from layers of flutes, synths and acoustic guitar that underpin poignant lyrics that deal with self-reflection and growth. More than a year after its release, McConnell is celebrating bringing the album into the world with a "Record Release Renewal" at Sleeping Village, where she'll be joined by psychedelic Latin rocker Gabacho.
