The Rentals

Fifteen years after their sophomore album Seven More Minutes, The Rentals—they who were "Friends of P" about twenty years ago—finally returned with a follow-up, 2014's Lost in Alphaville. Fronted by original Weezer bassist Matt Sharp, the band still has its signature quirky synth-rock sound, and it's returned just in time to show the new crop of ’90s-nostalgia acts how alt-rock is really done.
