Markus Acher and his Bavarian colleagues return with their fine-tuned, modernist but enormously affecting poppy electronica, which aligns them with Psapp, the Postal Service and Feist and first won them widespread praise in 1998 with Shrink. They're back with their first album in ages, and first for Sub Pop, Close to the Glass. It's both glitchier and prettier than before, musique concrète you can hum along to.
