It's been five years since Tame Impala released Currents and subsequently played just about every major music festival and joined the playlist at all your favorite coffee shops. On Friday, February 14, the group will officially release its latest dose of psychedelic rock, The Slow Rush, but you can hear the album a few days early at a listening party hosted by Sleeping Village. The Avondale venue will hit "play" at 10pm, allowing attendees to listen to the record in its entirety, including a reworked version of groovy single "Borderline." The party runs until midnight (enough time to get through the roughly hour-long record twice) and admission is first come, first served, so hardcore Kevin Parker fans might want to show up early and claim a seat.
