Swans + Xiu Xiu

Michael Gira's reconstituted Swans—one of the most formidably intense bands of the ’80s—present latest album To Be Kind, which marries the lurching bombast of the group's early work with the goth-folk atmospherics of frontman Gira's later work with Angels of Light. The equally purposefully ugly Xiu Xiu opens. It's like musical Malört.
