Long-running experimental rock act Swans turns in a two-night stand at Lincoln Hall during Pitchfork Festival weekend, providing a bit of counter-programming for anyone who doesn't feel like sweating in a park. Though frontman Michael Gira has stated that he'll continue making music under the name Swans, this tour will serve as the swan song (sorry, we couldn't resist) for the group's current lineup. The visceral, sometimes ear-splitting compositions that populate the band's recent release, The Glowing Man, will serve as the centerpiece of these shows. Avant-garde cellist Okkyung Lee opens both evenings.
