As does the new one from Future Islands, a breakthrough record of husky '80s pop. And wouldn't you know it, both bands were together on December 2 at the Chicago Theatre for WXRT's Big Holiday Concert!
Alas, Annie Clark did not belt Christmas carols, but she did mention another godly being, David Bowie. Earlier in the day, she took in the awesome "David Bowie Is…" exhibit at the MCA. In January, she'll return to give a talk about Bowie at the museum.
It's been a very good year for Clark. St. Vincent appeared on SNL. She wowed at Pitchfork Festival. She made gray hair cool. Check out photos of her in action and imagine her busting charmingly robotic dance moves.
