This morning, concert promoter React Presents announced the headliners to its third annual and ever expanding Spring Awakening festival, a three-day bash in the Bears' home, June 13–15. Evanston native Kaskade, who played a massive gig at Navy Pier months ago, is one of the headliners, alongside trance titan Tiësto and blunted breaks man Pretty Lights. Knife Party, Diplo and Big Gigantic—who appeared at Lollapalooza, Wavefront and North Coast, respectively, last year—also top the bill. Tiësto hit the Electric Daisy Carnival in 2013, which will not return this summer.
It's a pretty bonkers lineup, considering most of the guys at the top (and they are largely dudes in this scene) command six fixures. Heck, even a DJ like A-Trak, listed down in the gen-pop portion of the bill, appears in a cherry vodka commercial. Other big names include Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion, Benny Benassi and Nervo. Not to mention
Claude VonStroke, Datsik, Derrick Carter, Feed Me, Kill Paris, Laidback Luke, Paper Diamond, Pete Tong and more. Check out the full lineup at the official website.
