As one half of experimental Chicago rock duo OHMME, Sima Cunningham gets noisy and intertwines her voice with longtime collaborator Macie Stewart. But Cunningham's solo output is a bit more subdued, including her recent release Lip Service, which reflects on the current state of the world through twangy, clear-eyed tunes that touch on the scourge of police violence and sourdough starters.
