Preoccupations + Methyl Ethel

The band formerly known as Viet Cong comes to Chicago behind its latest record, Preoccupations, which doubles as its new moniker. It's name may be new, but the group's jittery, ominous post-punk sound remains unchanged, harnessing urgent rhythms, squalling guitars and the droning vocals of frontman Matt Flegel.
