Still nattily dressed and crowned by a magnificently unfashionable haircut, the Modfather returns to Chicago for more sweaty soul-pop and rock (and a few Jam classics to please the faithful). Unlike his disciples (looking at you, Oasis dudes), Weller has hardly played it safe, dabbling with psychedelia and krautrock on recent records.
