Marijuana Deathsquads

This bugged-out Minneapolis electronic act defied easy categorization, but it lands far beyond the labels of punk it might conjure. A scene supergroup of sorts, the band features Ryan Olson of Gayngs, avant-rapper P.O.S. and members of Poliça. An album, Oh My Sexy Lord, dropped in October of 2013, brings to mind a strange hybrid of those acts, indeed, but also the Knife mashed with Boredoms. It's rad. These processed vocals and heavy accompaniment punch Chicago on March 19.
