It was all building toward this—the final, glorious, sunshine-filled day of Lollapalooza's 25th anniversary celebration. Visibly fatigued attendees (this is a four-day marathon of a festival, after all) showed up early to catch sets from St. Louis emcee Smino and EDM-infused violinist Lindsey Stirling, treating their Sunday morning hangovers with a little hair of the dog.

Nostalgia reigned supreme as an incredibly large crowd gathered for Third Eye Blind's performance (yes, they played "Semi-Charmed Life") and then dispersed as late-aughts indie rockers Local Natives and Silversun Pickups made their respective returns to the festival. Once the sun set, the dance party began, with electro pop singer Ellie Goulding and reunited dance rockers LCD Soundsystem providing the soundtrack.
