After two days of rain and mud, we finally earned a beautiful day at Lollapalooza as the weekend kicked off. Spirited sets from Welsh rockers the Joy Formidable and synth-pop outfit Chairlift woke up groggy early-comers, while crowds slowly trickled back into the festival grounds.

The north end of Grant Park already seemed like it was dangerously close to capacity as Leon Bridges took the stage for a soulful performance, which featured a sultry cover of Ginuwine's "Pony." After a painfully long set from Jane's Addiction (which included a surprise appearance from Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello), the evening wrapped up with headlining performances from funk rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers, English electronic duo Disclosure and Chicago emcee Vic Mensa.

Take a look at all the fun and sun from day three with our gallery of faces in the crowd and some of Saturday's best acts.
