In the year's since the disbanding of Sonic Youth, founding member Kim Gordon's creative output has only become more diverse. She's found the time to write a memoir (Girl in a Band), display a solo exhibition of her visual art at the Andy Warhol Museum and collaborate with the likes of guitarist Alex Knost and experimental Bill Nace. She also released her debut solo album No Home Record, a collection of noisy songs that often meld bass-heavy drum machine rhythms with waves of guitar feedback. That's likely the material she'll focus on during this Pitchfork Music Festival aftershow, taking place the day before her set at Union Park. New York R&B singer-songwriter keiyaA opens the show.
