Hailing from Texas, singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves made a name for herself with twangy tunes about small-town living, romance and staying true to yourself. But her most recent record, Star-Crossed, continues her journey into country-adjacent pop music that channels the atmospheric psychedelia of a Tame Impala record. Dealing with divorce and the blossoming of new love, her honest, straight-forward lyrics tackle trials of the heart with refreshing clarity. We're just a little surprised that Chicago musician NNAMDÏ isn't on the bill at Musgraves' United Center show—last February Musgraves tweeted about his track "Glass Casket" and then proposed a joint tour. Instead of homegrown avant-pop, attendees at this arena show will hear from opening acts King Princess and Muna.
