International Contemporary Ensemble: Anna Thorvaldsdottir

The International Contemporary Ensemble returns to the MCA stage with Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir to perform her "In the Light of Air" trilogy. The pieces feature viola, cello, harp, piano and percussion accompanied by interactive lights and sound that are controlled by the musicians' breathing patterns. The program also features "Tactility," an installation soundscape for percussion and harp and "Transitions," a piece for solo cello and electronics.
