International Contemporary Ensemble: Alvin Lucier

ICE explores the works of American composer Lucier. The 83-year-old sound artist has long been fascinated with acoustic resonance, room ambience, the behavior of sound and our perception of it. In two consecutive nights, in two separate programs, the ensemble tackles some of his best know works, like "I Am Sitting in a Room" (1969), which encorporate recording devices and wave oscillators.
