In celebration of Record Store Day, the House of Vans presents a special screening of Industrial Accident: The Story Of Wax Trax! Records—a documentary that examines the history of Chicago-based record store and label Wax Trax! Records. Established in Lincoln Park in 1978 by business partners Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher, Wax Trax! became a center of Chicago's punk rock community. In the ’80s, Wax Trax! established its own label and began issuing records by industrial rock acts like KMFDM, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and Chris Connelly. After the documentary, House of Vans will host performances by industrial rockers Ministry and contemporary synth-pop act Cold Cave.
