Griz + The Funk Hunters

Somewhere between EDM, hip-hop and funk, the music of producer and saxophonist Grant Kwiecinski (better known to his fans as Griz) is more than just bass drops and gigantic hooks. On his latest record, Ride Waves, Griz recruits Snoop Dogg, Matisyahu and Bootsy Collins to flesh out tracks that play to each featured performer's strengths, harnessing reggae rhythms and big band horns. Headlining Navy Pier's expansive festival hall, Griz comes to Chicago with support from Canadian DJ dup the Funk Hunters.
