Don't come to see Girl Band expecting the Supremes' smooth doo-wop of the Spice Girls' earworm pop. This Scottish four-piece (which doesn't include a single female member among its lineup) has a penchant for abrasive post-punk—its 2015 debut, Holding Hands with Jamie, could easily be mistaken for a long-lost mid-‘90s Touch and Go Records release. If you don't manage to catch the group's set in Union Park, this Pitchfork Music Festival aftershow is the place to be.
