G. Love and Special Sauce

When Philly singer, rapper and guitarist G. Love drops his jivey affectations, there's some real heat in his gangly acoustic hip-hop. The group released a 2011 LP, Fixin' to Die, produced by roots-music entrepreneurs the Avett Brothers. Mr. Love and his crew forge an unusually convincing fusion of styles.
