Finneas

Best known as the brother of pop sensation Billie Eilish, Finneas Baird O'Connell is his sister's most trusted collaborator, serving as a producer and co-writer of much of her music. While he doesn't have the voice of Eillish, Finneas does have a self-aware music persona that he showcases on his debut solo album, Optimist. There's little on the record that will be recognizable to those expecting more of the dark atmospheric production that he's employed on his sister's records—instead, you're in for a collection of jaunty pop anthems and moody ballads that reference cancel culture, the fleeting nature of youth and a yearning for simpler times (specifically, the pre-internet world of the ’90s).
