Formed from the remnants of Chicago experimental rockers Disappears, FACS carries on the group's genre-bending torch, creating dark, brooding music that draws on the taut rhythms of post-punk and the sonic disarray of avant-garde music. The trio headlines three nights at the Empty Bottle just a few months after the release of its latest LP, Present Tense, a brooding cacophony of synths and guitars that coallese around drummer Noah Leger's resolute rhythms and the frontman Brian Case erratic lyrics, formed from a list of random phrases that the band compiled during the recording process. Each show is presented at a limited capacity.
