"Die Walküre"

The second part of Richard Wagner iconic Ring Cycle, "Die Walküre" follows Siegmund, the son of a god, who falls in love with the beautiful Sieglinde and must fight her husband to the death to spend his life with her. Even if you're not an opera fanatic, you'll likely recognize "Ride of the Valkyries," which famously made an appearance in the 1979 film Apocalypse Now. Come prepared for an extended opera experience: "Die Walküre" is four hours and 43 minutes long, with two intermissions.
