Time Out says

Charli XCX is the kind of artist that could only exist in today's increasingly fragmented world of streaming platforms, fluid genre classifications and poptimism. Listen to the bouyant beats and catchy refrains of her latest self-titled album and it's clear that Charli is a pop star, albeit not the kind that can headline arenas (though she's supported Katy Perry, Sia and Taylor Swift). She's written hits for the likes of Icona Pop, Iggy Azelea and Camila Cabello, but her solo albums and mixtapes have always approached the genre as a construct, working closely with producers like A. G. Cook and Planet 1999 (of avant-pop collective PC Music) to accentuate sonic strangeness rather than bland studio gloss. In concert, Charli embraces her larger-than-life persona, performing as if she's surrounded by 50,000 sets of eyes—no matter the actual size of the room. Synth-pop singer-songwriter Allie X opens the show.
