Yet another indie band to rise up through the blogosphere, Canadian ensemble Braids plays shimmery, atmospheric pop that sounds like it was shoved through a shoegaze lens. The band's newest release, Deep in the Iris, surrounds singer Raphaelle Standell-Preston's ethereal voice with layers of glitchy electronics, making the group sound an awful lot like defunct Calgary outfit Azeda Booth.
