Nineties emo never died, it only grew up and settled down. There's a bit of a revival this summer, with both Mineral and American Football hitting the road again. Originally formed in Champaign in 1999, Braid, a key player in the Midwestern post-hardcore scene, has seen two years-long hiatuses and a drummer swap. Active again since 2011, the band plays two gigs in one evening at Township on Pitchfork Fest weekend. Bob Nanna and co. have a second post-reunion album, No Coast, out this summer.
