The notorious Georgia rock brats have been slowly growing up. Sure, they still might whip out their dicks and whiz on each other, there's always the potential for that with the Black Lips, but over the last couple records the garage-psych devotees have been working with name producers to polish the 'Nam-era racket. You can hear a song from the Mark Ronson produced Arabia Mountain in a T-Mobile commercial. The spankin' new one, Underneath the Rainbow, the Black Keys' Patrick Carney and the Budos Band's Tom Brenneck, both retro-purists. The material is a touch slower and kudzu spooky.
