If Andre 3000 was the more cerebral half of Outkast, then Big Boi was the reliable muscle, always prepared to knock out a memoral verse with his adaptable flow. Antwan André Patton has remained a bit more prolfiic than his counterpart, producing a handful of hip-hop albums that find the Atlanta rapper collaborating with indie rockers Phantogram and taking on a variety of personas. Headlining the first night of the Out of Space festival at Temperance Beer Co, Big Boi may have some new material to share from his forthcoming record with producer Sleepy Brown, The Big Sleepover. And make sure to show up early for a set from local hip-hop legend Twista.
