If you're stuck working a 9 to 5 job, weekday museum visits are pretty much out of the question. Not so this week: In honor of the city's move to Phase 5 (aka full reopening) on Friday, June 11, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced tons of local museums will offer extended hours for one night only.
Curious about whether your favorite museum is jumping on the late night bandwagon this Friday? Here's a full list of participating institutions where you can have your very own night at the museum. Normal hours resume on Saturday, June 12.
The Field Museum: Open until 9pm
The Shedd Aquarium: Open until 9pm
DuSable Museum: The museum won't formally open until June 19, but its DuSummer outdoor entertainment series will run until 10pm
Museum of Science and Industry: Open until 10pm
National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture: Open until 10pm
