It's been 80 years since Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion set off to see the Wizard on the big screen, and the Grant Park Music Festival is celebrating with a screening of the seminal film, accompanied by a live performance of its memorable score. The evening begins with a Wizard of Oz costume party at 6:30pm, gathering in the Chase Promenade North Tent (near the Bean) for trivia, a sing-along and a group photo. At 8pm, the movie will screen at the Pritzker Pavilion, with the score performed by the Grant Park Orchestra.
